If I get glasses that will be normal so I can focus the damn thing so everybody else can see them.. Always in focus for me, nobody else.. Hard to keep it up..
    todays stuff can nail it.

I learned the video is so big on the sony, the memory area is the overheater.
I got the fastest card available...
will stick to long exposures, one little shake ruins it.. but still fun to try.

like it filled in with quartz or something.
it was not happy to be here, the way it sat on the ground.
      looked like nothing around it.

I wonder if the white is the sea salt it melted as it crashed into the ocean we call maine today.

          serpentite almost fits the bill.

I did find a real meteorite, by bangor international.

they like that warm spot into autumn...and concrete never stops thieving.
zinc has another attraction, the iron versions.

I took a chunk home and it was radioactive.
          threw it into the woods.

I then learned real pieces are rare apparently.

I'll go get a real one again.

there is much more than they claim.
meteorites on earth for a 1billion years are going to look different by filling in.

non iron is called stony, that is what I brought home. Click image for larger version

a neighbor was handing out flowers today.
I do not know what they are, but smell nice.

my sister shares some honor posts about soldiers that died.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
          We will remember them.

              I knew someone would know.
those do a lot if you have patience.
even the birds of colors like the flowers.

Found this and most likely stole it.

              they named it after you.

I am now a subscriber to motortrend. Who am I kidding, I live for those shows.

The first most amazing thing I ever saw was a tractor trailer bobtailing into a wheelie in spencer mass when I was 5 or so.
Still the same awe to see this.

can't remember who that was..but bangshift did a blog for it.
something like eveil kneivel but it wasn't...or maybe it was.

the rigs were red white and blue.

                  not him..
                  That gets me every time.
I'd have to draw the ramp looking truck, kenwroth.. not evels.
red white and blue..and I keep wanting to call it "bandit."
I think we saw it with a v12 detroit.
                  hellacious.

I am sure bangshift has it somewhere.

                  • Was happy to pick this up from a long-ago employer, it's a late-'60s Wales Strippit single-hit punch machine. Think, punching a gauge or tach hole in a panel: Load the tool (just drops in), "bam", done. Or, punching a 3/4" hole (round or square or whatever) in a piece of 3/16", same deal. Came with a hundred-plus punch/die sets, all different sizes and shapes, in good condition.

Probably 4300 lbs. on the trailer here...not bad, but top-heavy as heck. Needs some cleanup externally but worked great last-we-know.

This was the precursor to the modern turret punch, where a flat sheet of material is held with a movable carriage and positioned as required under changeable punches. Since I don't have the desire nor room for a turret (except in the back yard where I have an old one rusting), and as this is actually a more flexible (if slow) machine, It'll be nice to have. This style was made into the eighties I believe, and parts are around.

Brochure from introduction in '63. Now all I need is one of those groovy lab-coats and a pair of Florsheim shoes... Click image for larger version

this helmet made of kevlar saved a police man there.
I had the same helmet in the early 90s...kept it in my chem-warfare bag.
I use that bag for camera stuff today..
