NICE!! This thing is getting close!
Do you think you'll need a fan shroud...? 460's are a big ole lump to keep cool in summer temps.
Sucks the rear wheels are backordered...but black steelies on the rear for a few weeks ain't the end of the world.
Would be interesting to throw a compression tester in there and see what the cranking compression is with this combo.

It figure it will need a fan shroud. We don't have one, we will have to try to find one at the local yard. Judd was a little bummed that the rears are back ordered. He has to be in CoS on the 23rd of June, so our time is running short to get this thing running and driving.

Disaster. Lower hose showed up and it is not correct. I figured it out though. For some reason everyone shows the part number for the hose that fits a tbird or Mark 3 that use the shorty water pump. The outlet on those point to the 3 oclock position, whereas a normal BBF pump points to more like a 4:30 position. The hoses are scarce, but I ordered the correct one from Jegs. Fingers crossed.

Still no lower hose. Jegs shows it as back ordered. I found a cross reference to the part number for a Jaguar XJS lower hose. It looks very similar and has the right end sizes. I checked locally and no dice, so I ordered one from Autozone.com. We'll see how this goes...... Yikes.

I did make a great stride in getting the hood to fit today. The boss on the back of the HEI distributor was the only thing preventing us from using a drop base air cleaner. So I chopped it off. We will just connect the wiring a little differently. This also allows us to run a 1" carb spacer instead of a 2".
