Hello, I'm Mike Parker
Live in Washington state and have been an engine/racing junkie as long as I can remember, I am 31. I'm currently an enigne mechanic on an unlimited hydroplane team and work on lycomb t-55 turbines. I own two chevelles that are fairly modest, but fun to drive. Got the heads up here from Team Chevelle.
Rob Wagle from Romulus, Michigan (Near Detroit Metro Airport)
Hello from Southeast MI. Let's see, I spent the early part of my life working as a Machinist, and then as a Prototype Fabricator/Welder for Automotive Job Shops. Went back to College and got a Degree in Nursing. Have worked the last 10 yrs as an R.N. in the Emergency Room. It pays good, as much work as you want, and it made fabricating "Fun" again. Given the current state of the Auto Industry, I have been lucky to have chose that path. Married 20+ years with three teenagers makes me feel my age (45)sometimes; but life is good. I have been collecting tools and equipment for a long time now; finally able to put them to use on my projects for a change. Here is a picture of me with last years tool accuisition; a P-5 Pullmax. Still playing around with it. Be kind about the picture-they say the camera adds like 30 pounds or something. Honestly-my head looks like a stinkin jack-o-lantern. Oh well what can I say... It's not easy getting old... Rob Wagle
The last boat pic is from the first limited hydroplane I helped build about 11 years ago. It runs a '88-'92 ford ranger block with billet internals and a Esslinger Engineering Arca series head with huge valves and cam. Rules limit me to 166 cu. in, natural aspirated, two valves per cylinder and total racing weight with driver 1325lbs. I chose to run carburated gas at 14:8cr and it turns 10,000 rpm and makes 368hp and 307ft lbs tq. It is 17 feet long 9.5 feet wide.
That picture was taken in New Zealand for the World Championships in '05. The boat has been nearly perfect, winning almost all titles in its class for 10 years. Set a new world speed record in '06 for the Kilo, averaged 139.986. The return run was 144mph! And the 1 and 1/3 mile course record at an average speed of 106.474 over three laps.
The other boat pics are from the Limited Lights class and run either 468 8-71 blown alcohol big blocks or naturaly aspirated 509. The blower boats make around 1100-1200 hp and run 8,800 rpm full out for over five minutes during a race. Oval courses, most races are four lap heats on 1 and 1/2 mile course.
Then there are the Unlimiteds that run lycomb T-55 turbines. Check out these vids from the turbine boat U-13. Mike Kelly drives the little boat too.

Dennis Moore from Millville, NJ. My passion for cars goes back with older brothers and locals who had the "coolest stuff" back in the day. I can still remeber my brother calling my boss at work to get me home for a "family emergency". When we got home, he said "change out of your dorkey stockboy clothes, were headed to the drags!" Loved those days!
I'm a fulltime engineer and run a small custom fab/tuner shop in my spare time. I'm a turbo and EFI junkie with lots of goofy projects to have fun with. Even with a love for today's technology, I also have a particular fondness for old school gassers and altered wheelbase stuff...go figure ???
I've worked with many of the manufacturers/engineering teams to stay well versed on EFI. In case I don't make it to the tech section, feel free to email/pm me any tuning or install questions and I'll do my best to help or get you to the right person.
My names Rick (Rickster) and slid on over here from Moparts (another cool forum) to ck things out and have to say I like it a lot...!!!!! I know its all in the name of competitiveness and consistency but my interest in NHRA super gas (and super comp for that matter) went away when the roadster fad took over. Just too cookie cutter for me. Then again I never got past the fourth round at NHRA national or divisional super gas racing. :P
My name is Jesse Nelson. I live in the currently frozen tunda of northern Minnesota. I work as a mining equipment mechanic in a local taconite mine. (the steel in you muscle car probably came from here ;)) I've been into racing cars since I got my license 15yrs ago. I've owned my chevelle for 10 yrs now and its finally finished.... kinda.
This year was a great year for me. I competed in the Dynomax Power to the Wheels competition and placed second in the finals. I was also lucky enough to have is featured in the December issue of Car Craft magazine
Here are some links to a quick description of the car, some pics, and a few videos
Do you ever wonder why some people are lucky and others are not? Why do some people come away feeling like they won and others feel like they lost? The answer to these questions is simple: Luck. The probability of winning a game is directly related to the chances of winning. The more
I've seen your car at Rock Falls and WOW, is it quick!!! Quiet too. The first time I seen it, I thought, like that car needs a chute. I was definately wrong.
