No Prep Drag Racing as we know it got it’s start in North Texas at Texas Raceway when Shannon Morgan started the Armageddon races decades ago, and that tradition continues. This past weekend was the Doomsday No Prep race put on by Barrett Green, Michael Hollis, and a crew of friends and family. It’s a great event and one that we are glad to see back. This event was previously run at Denton Dragway, later called Northstar, and has had some really intense action and carnage over the years so we were glad to see it come to XRP for 2024. The crowd was great, the cars were impressive, and there were a ton of them on the property ready to race in 5 classes, not including the Jr. Dragster shootout.
