(Photos by Darr Hawthorne) – The 75th annual Grand National Roadster Show demonstrated that the world of hot rodding and custom cars is as innovative and popular as ever.
A record-setting crowd visited the Pomona Fairplex and enjoyed the largest collection of past AMBR and Slonaker award winners ever assembled under one roof. The show also featured a mind-blowing collection of 16 George Barris custom creations. The display, which celebrated the legacy of the original “King of the Kustomizers,” included the Hirohata Merc, Barris’ 1958/59, ‘60 and ‘62 AMBR winners and the 60’s Batmobile, TV’s Munster Coach and Dragula from the Munsters.
In addition to the Barris retrospective, this gallery contains just about all the trucks entered into competition.
We’ll have one more gallery from the 2025 Grand National Roadster Show – with nearly 1,000 drive-in hot rods over the three-day weekend.
