Big wheel racing has come a long way in the last 10 years, but the biggest thing we’ve seen in the last couple of years is no prep events that are catering to the big wheel crowd. As if it wasn’t impressive enough to see them making big runs on a 20 series tire on a 24 inch or larger rim. When the track is fully radial prepped, it’s awesome but on a no prep surface it’s even more impressive. So how about the street? Everyone talks a lot of smack about how quick their cars are, but the streets are a real challenge.
In the video below, you’ll see a Memphis street racing cash days for big wheel cars and trucks only! Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Video Description:
14 big wheel cars showed up for a dig-style, cash days race on the streets — and with traction already a challenge at any street race, those massive wheels added a whole new layer of difficulty. Despite the odds, these drivers lined up and threw down. Donk’s boxes, bubbles, all showed up 24″. ,26″, 28″ wheels which made for one of the most unique, cultural street races we’ve been apart of!
