The NCMA brings out a wide variety of cars, from Pro Mods and late-model stuff to as far back as you can go, but what I find impressive is how many Mopars run the track in bona-fide anger. Wedges, Max Wedges, Hemi, and even some of the seriously big-bodied cars like this 1960 Plymouth come out to play and they play hard. Take your pick: the newest Mopar out there was a 1980s Chrysler Laser and from there, the ranks filled out, mostly with mid-1960s era stompers. Filling out the Nostalgia ranks and the Dave Duell Super Stock Classic, it was a surprise to see a race that didn’t have a Chrysler product of some kind sitting at the line, ready to hike the front end in yet another race. From a ‘Cuda to my personal favorite car to shoot, the Drag’n Wag’n Plymouth, we shot a picture of every Mopar we could find!
