Video: Depth of Speed “High Mileage”… John Jackson of Not Stock Photography

Not only does John Jackson of Not Stock Photography take killer photos of some of the baddest hot rods, customs, and cruisers around, but he also drives one himself. And while some folks would argue that the Not Stock Corvair Van isn’t what comes to mind when you think hot rod, this one is sure to make you go…hmmmmm. John drives the thing 60,000 miles a year, and that’s what the guys at Depth of Speed are talking about in this cool video.

We dig John’s work, and the cars he likes, and happen to run in many of the same circles. John’s site, NotStockPhotography.com will certainly grab your attention and make you wish you had half the skill he’s got. We often say that we are NOT photographers around here. We take pictures. Guys like John truly produce art at a whole nother level.

Check out NotStockPhotography here.

Make sure to comment below on what you think about John’s cool Van, his beard, and his cool photos as well.

I have seen many of his photos and his work is really cool. Someday maybe I can get him to come to Colorado Springs and shoot my bike! As far as the van well I think Corvairs are really cool and what he did with the van speaks for itself. Most people would use that van for weekends or cruise ins etc. the fact he drives it is the way it should be! Maybe a self portrait of an STP stash with the beard!?! Keep on doing what you do……

Nice Corvan 95, with a Poweglide no less, wonder if the engine is stock. I’ve owned 2 of those, and the only problem he’ll have with that van is that rear wheel bearings have been unavailable for years and finding a N.O.S. one is near impossible, and quite pricy!

John does awesome work and ive been watching his stuff for some time now. As a self taught amateur automotive photographer he is a huge inspiration to me to strive to constantly evolve. Id like to be half as good as he is at this point and love seeing his new projects he is working on.
