Help A Family Keep This Tubbed ’56 Chevy Pro Street Truck

Help A Family Keep This Tubbed ’56 Chevy Pro Street Truck

There is something about Tri-Five Chevrolets, whether car or truck. They just speak to people. And this particular tubbed ’56 Chevy speaks to me. I found it while checking out Craigslist for stuff I can’t afford, just to tease myself. But this truck isn’t just another thing for sale. No, rather it’s an ad stating that the seller can’t afford to keep and fix it the way that they would like, but that they DO want to keep the truck in the family after the father died.

How can you help? Well, it’s now running, so the 502 is good to go. And it must be pretty awesome since it’s got Dart Pro 1 heads, and a bunch of other cool parts. The back half, tubbed, tilt bed beast has a Camaro subframe up front and drives well, but needs paint and bodywork help.

How much we’re not sure, because it looks pretty good in the pictures. The seller says it has rust in the drip rails, and a few wiring issues. They have owned it for more than 35 years and don’t want to lose it. So, they want to know if someone out there can help out by teaching them how to do the bodywork to fix this sucker?

It’s an interesting ad, and I’m sure the truck will be sold or finished before too long, but we want it for ourselves.

Can someone help these folks out?
