Dom O’Loughlin sent is this one yesterday, and it’s awesome in a bad way. While participating in the Motorvation 2013 Supercruise, where cars are going down the dragstrip and making laps with some nice burnouts, a fuel line apparently fails and causes a huge fire. No matter how much foam and retardant they seem to spray on it, the fire just keeps going, until the realize that they fuel pump is still running and someone jumps in the car to turn off the key. It’s bad and we feel horrible for whoever it is that owns this thing. The good news is nobody appeared to be hurt. The track guys were on this one quick as well, and we imagine they were running cars again within 15 minutes because they already had track scrubbers waiting behind the car as it was getting loaded on the tow truck. This fire is one to watch, and it could have been much worse.
Amazing that they just keep “Supercruising” in the outside lane during the inferno. (I guess that’s the way they roll in a former outlaw penal colony)
Massive fail by the driver, who apparently bailed out whith the key on and the krispy critter still in gear. But I’d bet he saved his Foster’s . . . .
Nah, we dont drink Fosters here; we sell that crap overseas…..
