It takes skill and talent to make 500 horsepower hook and book on dry pavement. That’s why anyone who can do it deserves some respect, regardless of car. Now, triple the horsepower and put the car on mud. This isn’t just expert mode, it’s like when your a-hole kid relative challenges you to Guitar Hero and immediately chooses “Through The Fire And Flames” as the song you’re going to perform…chances are, unless you are a bonafide expert at what you’re doing, you will fail catastrophically. Now, just for the icing on this cake, let’s say it’s your first time on the track with this fire-breathing demon that you’ve created. The only experience you have with the machine that has all of the forgiveness of a three-headed demon dog is whatever testing you got in between completion and this first race. Feel nervous yet? Would you be happy just to survive the experience? How about taking home second, and only missing first place overall by .004 seconds? Patrick here has done just that. You better believe he’s happy. From the first launch this monster Jeep just digs and goes, stays straight and provides decently consistent performances. Sure, there’s some tuning, but when you start off good and can only get better, that’s when you are allowed to pat yourself on the back for the build!
Anyone know what they mean by chain drive on the transmission? I know what a powerglide is, not sure what the chain part would be. Chain in the transfercase?
