With our friends the Geezer Gassers once again showing the world a good time at this weekend’s Holley National Hot Rod Reunion, it got us thinking. What body style gasser would we build if we were doing one? I mean there are multiple years of Willys, Anglias, Henry Js, Chevys, Fords, and More. So which one to choose? It’s a tough question, we know, but that’s why we’re asking it. What is YOUR favorite body style gasser?
If you were building one what would it be? Early model or late? Willy’s? Ford? Chevy? Anglia? Henry J? Something else?
Let us know. Below are a couple of Geezer Gassers for inspiration. Tune in starting Thursday morning for all the action!
55 Chevy
Henry J
Come on. Willys. ’33 or ’40, doesn’t matter. They defined the class.
’40 – ’41 Willys.
41 Willys
Ohio George Montgomery’s Mustang was the greatest gasser ever. Too bad it would be illegal to run in Gasser/AFX at Drag Week and nearly all of the “retro” or “traditional” shows.
Of the “allowed” cars, Falcon! (Or perhaps a Model A)
Oh baby . Those early model gassers hands down . Once the Muskoxes ( Mustangs ) 50’s cars and Vette’s came into the category … the end of the AA/GS era was inevitable .
So which body style would I chose ? Anything pre 1949. The Willy’s are my favorite but I loved em all !
Truly . If Pro Modified were to change over to pre 1949 body styles only the class would take off like a lightening bolt
Do that AND bring back AA/FA and drag racing might have a chance of returning to its former glory days 8)
Toss up between 40-42 Willys and Ohio George’s Mustang.
All of them!
Anglia…..
’41 willys
Gasser=Goodness.
All of ’em.
Doesn’t matter.
If I’m watching, a Willys. If I’m driving, a 55 chevy
’33 Willys with a blown & injected 392 Hemi
Most anything 1957 or older but with Gassers it’s all good..!
