There’s nothing quite like some excellent gear-banging to get the day started, is there? No, there isn’t. Why else would we call ourselves BangShift? No-lift shifting is great for the dragstrip, but even hardcore 1320 fans can understand that there is serious skill in what road racers can do with a manual ‘box. Rev matching, heel/toe shifting, and timing all make the difference between looking like an apexing hero and a jackass who just spun out in turn 5 after mis-timing a downshift. Randy Pobst is back with his informative series, and this time around he’s got two different Cadillac ATS-Vs that are getting put through their paces, one automatic, one manual. Don’t focus on the comparison between the two and instead check out the technique. If you want to look like a hero at the track or just want to bone up on your skills, check out the video below!
I like that guy! And a cool informative episode.
