Any Ford engine known as a “Boss” is worth paying attention to, end of story. While the intake of this Falcon XR8 ute says “Boss 260”, ignore the number. It references the kilowatt rating of the engine, which translated to horsepower comes out to around 350 horsepower stock. This purple ute is nowhere near stock, cranking out a more-than-respectable 851 horsepower at the wheels using the stock Boss 5.4L engine that keeps the factory block, heads and crank, but adds a forged bottom end and a Vortech blower to make things highly entertaining. To all of you truck guys out there, sorry, but if I want something that hauls and hauls ass, this is what I want. Damn you, 25-year import rule! I want my Aussie ute and I want it now!
