If there is a class for the most modifications and bolt ons to a single vehicle, we think this 1956 Ford F-100 is the winner. Just look at this thing. There are so many bolt ons that you can’t even count them all. Someone went through the parts catalogue and started checking boxes like a mad man to outfit this big bastard. It would appear to us that a Cadillac, probably the same 1978 Caddy that gave up it’s drivetrain, donated headlights and other “accessories” to get this thing started. On top of that, at least eleventy million lights, switches, doo dads, and gizmos were added along the way. It has more lights that we can imagine one 1956 F-100 having, along with radio, a CB, speakers, sirens, and all kinds of stuff. From the body perspective it’s got fender skirts, chrome running boards, the Caddy headlights, a reverse opening hood, sun visor, spot lights, handles, louvers, a “roll pan”, and who knows what else. Our eyes hurt from trying to see everything going on here.
Our buddy Jay Ligtenberg sent this link in, and he called it something unrepeatable.
What would you call this? There are tons of photos below.
Here is what the seller has to say:
Okay…. Its time to let go.

Serious Buyers Only. No Emails Please!!!! Drove it this weekend had a Ball. But now time to move on…
Is it really just “time to move on”…or, was it that letter from the homeowner’s association…?
’78 Caddy 473? Okay, put the crack pipe down. The Caddy engine du jour for 1978 was a 425 and it was a total dog. Go ahead, ask me how I know.
It just goes to show that not all barf-wagons are Chevys!
Yeeesh! I wonder how much work it’ll take to un-f*** that thing and make a nice truck out of it.
Un-f&@$ it??
No problem. Gimme about 2 hrs with a pry bar and a pair of dykes. I FEEX EEET BERRY BERRY GOOD
I always liked the looks of the ’56 F100, however I almost lost my breakfast over this turd.
What the hell is that crap hanging from the headliner?
Now I know why everything I ordered from JC Whitney is on back order!!!
I try to overlook what I don’t like, if anything, when enjoying these photos. Unfortunately, this beast is hideous from all sides. I see no redeeming qualities. This may be the ugliest truck I’ve ever seen.
It’s as if the owner just put things on the truck as he came across them. No sense of style or continuity or what the lines of the body are. I don’t think it would matter what vehicle the owner had. He would have made the same mods. This just happened to be the platform he had to hang all the bobbles on.
Just did a search and found it on Craig’s list. Asking 18,000 for this. Would take that much just undo this mess and fix it.
I was thinking he would ask about 20k. What are some people thinking? I think that this is seriously the ugliest thing I have ever seen – but I can understand that someone would do that on their own because they think it’s beautiful. But, the odds of someone else feeling the same way about this vehicle are very slim – and at that price! No way buster.
J.C. Whitney Signature Edition! I think the Mickey Mouse sticker says it all!
Whats missing is the J C Whitney illuminated jester hood ornament…must be back ordered.
Google images for “Pakistan bus” . I think that is the look he was after. Not too tasteful to those of us in the Western Hemisphere but he’d be a hit in the Himalayas.
I think it needs some Rodriguez balls around the inside of the windows.
Cadillac between 1971-1976 used two engines the 472 & the 500, block type 501 on both. 1976 they almost exclusively used 500’s as they had too many. 1977 saw the introduction of the 425, a smaller displacement version with the same external measurements. Like a 305 to a 350. 1979-1984 Cadillac had a 6.0L 368 engine for the Fleetwood 75, Limo, and some of the Z body short cowl commercial chassis.
The side markers are Cadillac C,D,Z RWD’s 1971-1975. The headlamps are 1975-1976 C,D,Z. Likely the doner was a 1975 Cadillac.
I want to get a dart gun and go rescue that truck from its owner.
