You may answer yes or no to this one, but there are tons of folks who would, and have, answered yes. For decades drivers and teams have had fans who would stop at nothing to show their support for their favorite driver or team and have bought every single souvenir possible. Some folks march to the beat of a slightly different drummer though and turn THEMSELVES into the ultimate race souvenir. Case in point, UK BangShifter Louis Coulsell from Southampton.
You see Louis has turned his entire back into a human tribute to Tom McEwen and Lions Drag Strip, which is pretty extreme dedication. Check out Louis’ tattoos below.
We know this is the extreme, but even if it was smaller would you do it?
Do you love one racer or team enough to tattoo their car on your body?
Every time I think of a tattoo, I generally think of something else I’d like to be saving up the money for. While I haven’t wanted an actual car tattooed on me, I have thought about going with the ’60s era Dodge triangle logo surrounded by flames.
i would love to tattoo a car on me it would be awsome
Something vintage and iconic like the above, long before anything new. A fuel altered maybe? But probably not in my case. And yes, I do have some ink.
Every time I see some nasty “tat” (especially on a chick) I always think “a fool and his money are soon parted.”
And I always laugh inside when one of these slack-jawed tribal “goofs” shows up wanting a job. TAT CHANCE, CHUMP! Maybe the circus is hiring . . . .
Oh HELL no!
I almost got the old Ford truck “Cog and Lightning” but (thankfully) thought better of it.
I just haven’t found anything meaningful enough to have it ON me. For the rest of my life.
Yep and I already have heaps of ink!
Mongoose? I wonder where he’s got “The Snake” tattooed . . . .
I did one after i bought my racecar up in Paradise CA,
Looking at my Snake and Mongoose movie poster, Mongoose’s Duster is painted red not blue.
Nice tattoo, however I’m not into getting one myself, and I’m a 20 year Navy veteran.
It’s moongoose 2nd duster 1972
Hell yeah….something totally cool from my youth…. “the Winged Express”
I think I will show my support in other ways, but I definitely respect him for his method. What about you Chad?
A lot are tattooed on my brain !
but not on my skin and will never be. unless it’s me 🙂
I drove Dale Jr just before the season when he moved to Hendrick and changed his number from 8 to 88. I asked him if he was going to win that year’s Daytona 500. He said he hoped so. That’s when I said if I was going to add another 8 to my tattoo, he had better win. He thought I was serious. I laughed, but I was sure there were people out there that would not be kidding him.
