The Australians are always running little cars down the dragstrip. Some with big engines, some small. Some with small tires, some large. But it’s not as often that you see this kind of thing here in the states. Not at this level anyway. Which is why this bitchin little 1983 Toyota Starlet caught our attention and made me smile. It’s far from done, but it’s awesome! A 1JZ with a custom chassis and a big tire? All in a package that will weigh less than your wife’s luggage on that last vacation you took. This little bastard should flat fly! And while there is plenty of fabrication work, sheetmetal, plumbing, wiring, etc that has to be done, there are a lot of really good parts that come with this thing. So if the price was right it could be an absolute riot. I’d drive it.
