Here’s a fun riddle: what’s tiny and sketchy, roars like a hungry lion, and rips up more turf than a box full of gophers on caffeine? This little Geo Tracker, nicknamed “Cowboy”, that’s what. What we know about the little Tracker is…well, honestly, just about nothing. We can only speculate about what we suspect is Chevrolet 3/4 ton running gear on a homemade frame, a stonkin’ Chevy V8 under that minuscule doghouse, and as for power and performance figures…well, watching how the Geo rips up the Kellenberger Mud Bog in Michigan is telling enough. It may have been built for mud but the Geo looks like it’d be at home just about anywhere you took it. In stock form, these little micro-utes are neat pieces that perform better than you could expect. But where a four-cylinder is good, a V8 is better, and with beefed up axles and a cooling system mounted where a tailgate should be, the only thing that should be able to stop you is your limitations…or a great big wall of solid earth.
