Morning Symphony: A 427 Mustang Goes Up Against 427 Corvettes At Pacific Raceway’s Road Course

Morning Symphony: A 427 Mustang Goes Up Against 427 Corvettes At Pacific Raceway’s Road Course

You want the soundtrack to 4/27? Here it is, in pure, unadulterated glory. You are riding along in a Holman-Moody 427-powered Mustang at Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington. We know very little about the car other than what the video shows us, but it’s a wicked piece for sure and one that we’d be happy just hearing idle, let alone scream. Running in a vintage race, it’s got three friendly competitors: 427-powered C3 Corvettes. It’s a sunny day, the track looks good to go and the cars are ready to do battle. You want a pick-me-up in the morning? Skip that $7 coffee and go straight to the volume knob. If this doesn’t get you up and moving in the morning, nothing will. The loping of the Chevrolets and the shriek of the Ford make for a beautiful harmony that graces the eardrum ever-so-nicely. Pacific’s road course doesn’t have a long straightaway, so keep that in mind when the driver of the Mustang winds the engine out!
