The good old days were fun, but damn if the modern day stuff isn’t anything short of awe-inspiring. Twenty years ago, who would’ve expected Z/28 Camaros carving corners well enough to scare sports car owners, Mopar four-door sedans using Hemi power to yank the wheels all day long, and turbochargers turning Mustangs into the kind of ultra-violent creations that would’ve been perfectly competitive in a 1970 Pro Stock race just by timeslip, yet offer a level of creature comfort that was just about unheard of in 1970 for a street car while cranking out those figures…all with license plates firmly attached? 13-year-old me would have been laughing directly into your face if you had tried to tell me that…the fun police wouldn’t allow it anymore! But here we are, and we are soaking it all up. Cars like this Hellion-modified Mustang GT make our year…driven by Melissa Urist, the wife of Hellion Power Systems bossman John Urist, let’s just say that the parachute is on the car for a reason. Running a Hellion Eliminator twin-turbo kit with 64mm snails replacing the 55mm standard units, this ‘Stang can belt out 8-second slips as long as the driver is skilled enough to keep everything traveling in a straight line. And it can be driven home afterwards, too. That rules.
a hottie in a nice car….
only thing to make it more exciting.. if it wasn’t an auto
