If you haven’t left the confines of an air-conditioned building in the last few days, allow me to provide you with a news flash: it’s hot out. Roasting, sweat-inducing, humid heat. Summer is here, and while I’m a creature of the heat, you know how it goes: when it’s summer, you just want one day of mild winter, and when it’s winter, you want one mild summer day. Well, as you are reading this, I’ll be working out in the heat, loving every second but secretly wishing I was enjoying a nice, very mild winter day at Calder Park. Sure, the weather might be on the sketchy side, but how many of you would be willing to go hit the strip while the temperatures hit the mid-50s Fahrenheit? Sign us right up! Calder Park is kicking off their Funday Sunday winter racing program, which from what we have seen, is effectively test-and-tune days that allow all sorts to come out and have some fun at the drags. There’s seventeen minutes of racing action here, so hit play and crank the volume!
