If this does nothing for you, then you are on the wrong site, period. The guys from 1320Video were at the All-Out Call-Out race in New Mexico recently and got treated to a Pro Mod battle involving two wicked Chevrolet Novas. The early-model Chevy is packing the old-school, “use a sledgehammer” method of making four-digit horsepower numbers: a 14-71 supercharged 540ci big block on alcohol. It’s not the most modern take on going fast, but it’s effective and proven. In the other lane is a turbocharged, small-block car that is more like what you’ll see coming out. It doesn’t have the oh, that’s evil! factor of the big blower and the zoomie headers, but underrating a turbo car is a mistake nobody should be making. With the heat of Albuquerque Dragway a factor, can either one of these 2,000+ horse monsters even hook, let alone make a full pull down the strip, and which one is going to take the crown this time? Hit play below to find out!
That was a rowdy place 30 yrs ago, glad it’s still rocking.
