Watch As Matt Farah Scares The Hell Out Of Himself In A Mitsubishi 4G63-Powered Pontiac Fiero Track Rat!

Watch As Matt Farah Scares The Hell Out Of Himself In A Mitsubishi 4G63-Powered Pontiac Fiero Track Rat!

I first watched this video this morning, and I’m still laughing…”Death Fiero”. Who in their right mind would be scared to death of a Pontiac Fiero? The little mid-engined car from General Motors that barely could was nimble, lightweight, and to be fair, rather underpowered. There’s hardly anything left of a Fiero here in the first place…this flat-black testament to riveted-on body panels looks like a kit you could order out of the back of a car magazine in the 1980s, when all you had to do was provide the running gear and away you went, impressing your friends with your virtually unknown machine.

Am I being unfair about this car? Absolutely. This Fiero is actually the culmination of two cars: a second-gen Fiero that needed a new lease on life, and a Mitsubishi GS-T drag car that met an untimely end. There’s a huge parts list of what it took to get the Fiero to accept the 4G63 four-cylinder and the 68mm turbocharger that’s force-feeding it air, but here’s what you need to know: on “full kill” mode, this chimera makes over 700 horsepower at the tires. As you watch Matt Farah go wide-eyed and start using curse words like commas, note that it’s in a detuned state, and is putting down “only” 500 horsepower to the pavement. And that the owner of the car, Mike Nasiatka, hasn’t driven the car prior to Matt getting behind the wheel of the car at the track he completely forgot the name of due to his fear of the car.

LANGUAGE WARNING: Farah is not kidding when he says he’s seriously scared of the car. A few words come out…maybe some poo, too.

  1. Chevy Hatin' Mad Geordie

    Flat black paint – check

    Cool body kit – check

    “Functional” interior – check

Usual boring LS swap – there isn’t a steenkin’ LS!

How refreshing to see a car built by somebody with some imagination – its a pity about the pussy driving it and the “missing” 300HP…..

  2. sbg

the Import Car Bible – is that “how to pick up the naked chicks feature on that computer screen”?
