This 1929 Model A Ford body has to be one of the coolest things we’ve seen on Ebay in forever. According to the ad “Nervous Breakdown” was featured in Hot Rod Magazine in the 1970’s when it was a gasser. Who knows what has happened to the chassis or any of that, but who cares. There are tons of pictures of it, and the patina looks great. We’d throw a period correct chassis under it and run the snot out of it at the California and National Hot Rod Reunions. With a high winding small-block and a 4-speed the wheels up launches would make the “Nervous Breakdown” a serious crowd favorite.
We did a quick search to see if we could find out anything about the Nervous Breakdown but were unable to find any information. If you know something, let us know. The car is currently located in the Dallas Texas area and, with no reserve, is just shy of $2900 as of this writing. We’ve got no money to spend, but we have to say that seems like a really good price for a Model A as cool as this one.

Two things make me doubt this cars history is real
#1 The tilting windshield not having been replaced
#2 The top not having been properly filled
All Hot Rod 101 when it comes to building a Drag car , especially a Gasser from the 70’s
My guess is its just a fairly decent 29 shell with some wishful thinking graphics painted on at some point .
Having said that $2900 isn’t a half bad price for a 29 shell with plenty of potential
