Ran When Parked…This 1969 GMC C15 Has Great Patina And Needs A New Home

Ran When Parked…This 1969 GMC C15 Has Great Patina And Needs A New Home

If this 1969 GMC C15 pickup was closer to us we’d be on our way to look at it right now. It says it ran a year ago when it was parked, which probably means three years ago, but it is a small block so we’re 90% sure it can run within an hour if you bring the right spares. It has a great patina, the color is perfection, and in the grand scheme of things it is straight. We’d make this our shop truck in about 15 seconds and drive it daily with nothing more than an auto parts store seat cover, gas, oil, and maybe some tires.

The listing doesn’t tell us much about it, because what is there to say. It does tell us that it is a 350/350 combo, which is wrong, but the photos might suggest the engine is original. Either way, it does have power steering, power brakes, is NOT a stripped model ass the door panels are the fancier offerings and there is a lot of trim on it. Plus I think it has woodgrain on the dash as well. I don’t see any evident rust on the rockers, although there might be some on the firewall at the upper passenger corner. Not a big deal to repair.

Now back to the wrong on the 350/350 combo. Based on the shifter sticking out of the floor, and the clutch pedal under the dash, this thing should have a 4-speed in it. Maybe a 3 speed, but I am pretty sure a truck outfitted like this would have had a granny low 4-speed. Which means it is begging for an overdrive trans from the fine folks at American Powertrain. Don’t you think?

Here is the info from the seller:

Love the cheezy stickers on the glovebox door and the tach on the column! Perfection! The plywood in the bed is a little sketchy, but that’s minor. Somebody buy this Jewel!
