Yep…the resident freak-show fan is back with one of his typical choices. I’ve made no bones about the fact that I love the Lincoln Mark VII LSC. Fox chassis, Aerobird shape, Lincoln interior. What’s not to like? They looked badass, and not just “for a Lincoln” either, and have all the potential any Fox body Mustang has. And when they are painted black and look like they’ve just made their first appearance in the sunlight since Bill Clinton was elected president, I will have no shame about showing one off. In my eyes, they are the ideal daily: enough practicality and comfort to be useful, enough classic lines and “don’t see that everyday” factor to be cool.
This one, though…this one might not be daily driver material. Not that I’d go out of my way to keep it in the garage and only drive it on sunny days with a temperature between 65 and 85 degrees, mind you, but because this LSC is potent. Like 544 rear-wheel horsepower potent, thanks to it’s turbocharged 306ci small block Ford mill. Yeah, that’s the hot tune, but the everyday, pump-gas tune is a still damn stout 466 RWHP with a torque figure in the 500 ft/lb range. If that doesn’t make you tingle, not much will. Leaving the stock lace wheels on drag radials is a nice touch, too. But this is also a well-kept car…everything works, even the air ride suspension, and the transmission is built to kill.
It’s…(sniff!)…beautiful.
This would hurt some feelings for sure 🙂
Just lose those shit 80s wheels and it would be just fine!
Geordie, you missed that it has an LSc engine…. You know, with OHV 😉
Those BBS style wheels make the car, you obviously have no taste.
Geordie, every time that you comment you just show the world what a big wanker you are and how little you know about cars.
LSc is the brand name and NOT the make of the motor.
“Thanks to its turbocharged 306 ci small block Ford mill”
And you say I know little about cars…..
Actually the brand is Lincoln. The model is Mark VII LSC which stood for Luxury Sport Coupe. My Dad bought new an 84, 86 and 88. He changed cars every two years.
Always liked these cars and also the Mark VIII. Then again big cars are the bomb!
I’m with you Jerry. If you don’t have to deal with cities, why have a puny car?
I wanted a new one. May as well have cost a million bucks back then. Love these cars just like this one.
I had a ’90 LSC many years back, wish I still had it 🙁 .
