We Would LOVE To Make This 1972 60 Series Chevy Cab Over Into One Hell Of A Ramp Truck

We Would LOVE To Make This 1972 60 Series Chevy Cab Over Into One Hell Of A Ramp Truck

If you are any sort of regular reader here on BANGshift.com then you know we have a weakness for cool ramp trucks. They are after all really handy, and super cool looking. But they are also pretty rare to find for sale. So, we often see other trucks we think would make great ramp trucks and dream of doing so. This is one of those cases. First it’s a cab over, which we love, and second it is a model you very rarely see anymore. That makes it unique.

If it were ours, we’d grab some wrecked Duramax or Cummins powered dually chassis and make it all work underneath this sucker. We would also add a sleeper behind the cab to haul a couple more people or make it easy to nap on long road trips, and then we’d make a ramp truck body for it that would haul a mini bike, a golf cart, and a car of our choosing.

What do you think of that idea?

Don’t agree, then how would you build it?

Here is the info from the seller:

Spent hundreds of hour over 5 summers in one of these beasts…your back will thank you for making another choice.

Its a tall deck 427, and even more likely, really a 366. While its true they are not as common as the Ford COE’s, they are still around everywhere for under $2500.
