This Vintage Off-Road Truck Would Be Bitchin To Race In Baja!

This Vintage Off-Road Truck Would Be Bitchin To Race In Baja!

I’m a sucker for off-road trucks, especially those that are designed to run fast across the desert. And a square body Chevy like this one just reminds me of the one that Jon had on CHiPs, so that drives me even more. In fact I’d have to paint this thing like his just to make people do a double take. This one is clearly more refined and built than the one on the tv show, and we’re glad because the races it would fit in are far more grueling than some might think. Just because the NORRA events are tailored towards vintage and nostalgia off-road race vehicles doesn’t mean they aren’t hauling ass and beating stuff up.

This one has a lot of fresh parts and is ready for a few tweaks and then some desert racing. With a fresh big inch small block, TH400, and heavily gusseted Danas front and rear we’re pretty sure this one knows how to take a beating and keeping on running. In fact, it has history as a class winner during the Baja 250. I bet we could get plenty of volunteers to ride, drive, and pit crew for us if we picked up something like this. What do you think?
