Since the Mongrel project has had such extensive sheetmetal work, including a complete floor and chassis swap, there are a lot of seams that need to be sealed. And because the car was blasted to bare metal and then primered, sealing up the bottom is a real priority. We’ve never personally used UPOL Raptor before, but it is a spray on bed liner type of material and should be great for sound control and undercoating and it certainly looks nice when finished. Yes the Mongrel will be a track car, but there is no doubt that a coating system like this is still a good idea that will help your project stay nice, quiet, and water tight from underneath.
