I love rally racing, and when each stop of the World Rally Championship used to be covered on tv it was awesome to watch week in and week out. Now you have to subscribe to the WRC to watch it, but there are also many other rally series and events going on around the globe. If you haven’t watched rally racing before, you are missing out, because it’s part off-road racing, part gymkhana, part drifting, and all at speeds that feel more like F1 when they are hauling ass through the woods or small roads at speed. Rally drivers have long been considered some of the finest drivers on the planet and when things go right it is pretty easy to understand why.
But when they go wrong, or nearly wrong, you wonder how anyone can think driving at break neck speeds through country roads, small towns, and two tracks is a good idea. And in this video you’ll see what I’m talking about. From high flying action to near misses, and then so many soft rolls to harrowing crashes, it’s all here in the video below. It’s enough to make some folks question whether or not they really want to try and do this kind of racing.
