I’ve been down the dragstrip in a variety of cars and trucks and all levels of performance, but I have zero desire to go down a dragstrip on a motorcycle. A scooter or something funny and slow? Sure! But I’m not climbing onto something fast and shooting my ass down the track. I like things with a roll cage.
With that said, when I saw this cool 1977 Kawasaki KZ for sale on Marketplace I thought hmmmmm. Someone might want this thing. I don’t, but someone might and so I figured we’d share it and see if any of you out there are looking for a new ride. It needs some love, but it’s all there, and I do have to say it is a sexy bike.

OBO possible trades. No title but clean vin. Will provide bill of sale. Bike is a solid complete platform if you want to get into drag bikes. Needs work and parts like tires but the frame is solid, engine is good and most of the important stuff is already in place. Bodywork is in good shape, carbs are good. The parts on this are worth more than I’m asking, if it’s not in your range for price or ability to fix it then you don’t really need to get into racing in the first place.
If I had the discretionary income right now, I’d jump on it. A couple of months worth of clean up and detail, OK, maybe an over-the-winter’s worth, and It’d be presentable enough for me to ride it.
