2017 Chattanooga Cruise-In at Coker Tire: Our Final Gallery From The Show!

The 2017 Chattanooga Cruise-In at Coker Tire is an event that you must see if you are in the Southeastern United States. From it’s beginnings as a little get-together in front of Coker Tire, the event has exploded into a large-scale deal that occupies a large chunk of the town and brings out a solid mix of machines for all tastes. From the turn-of-the-century machines nestled inside Coker Tire’s museum to the late-model machines that appeared courtesy of such clubs as the Peach State Challengers (among others), you could find something to appreciate in the thousands of vehicles that were parked along the streets and in the parking lots.

I want to thank Ben Smithson of Young Rodders Union for giving me the inspiration to wake up at the most unholy hour of the morning to make the drive down to Chattanooga. Ben’s a solid car guy, and his Chevy Kingswood wagon is a sweet piece. And I want to point out one particular car that I got to stare at the back of quite a bit on the drive: the Ford Granada in the lead photo. I’m famous for not appreciating the Granada or any of it’s corporate siblings, but it must be said: on Mustang knock-off wheels, this dark red Ford looked good and sounded great. Until next year…
