(Words and Photos by Mike Brooks) – Every year, the Lakeshore Street Rod Association puts on its annual Harbor Cruise show right on the scenic Lake Erie shoreline in Dunkirk NY. The show never ceases to impress and continues to grow year after year. Being that this is my hometown show, I’ve had the opportunity to watch this event since its humble beginnings over a decade ago.

This year over 800 cars from NY, PA, and Ohio came together to raise money for local charities, hang out, and check out all the iron scattered throughout Point Gratiot park. Here in Western NY, days like this enjoying the beautiful summer weather, cool cars, and spending time with your friends are the days you look back on when you get the winter blues. This show will always be on my “must attend” list and it should be on yours too.
