Coker Tire Cruise-In 2018: Running From The Storm Through A Field Of Iron

Coker Tire Cruise-In 2018: Running From The Storm Through A Field Of Iron

With the winds starting to finally spool up and the clouds starting to darken over the mountains towards the west, the pace had to be picked up if the rest of the Coker Tire Cruise-In wasn’t going to go to waste photo-wise. A great feature of the show is that it occupies a large area of the industrial zone around Coker’s headquarters, so there’s several blocks’ worth of side streets, and numerous parking lots to fill up before the Finley Stadium lot starts to get crowded. The downside for yours truly is that meant that I was going to get my morning workout in without question…shoot car, take three steps, shoot car, repeat.

I wish I had time to spend with some of the cars that had shown up and stuck it out. The amount of beauties that I could’ve devoted tons of time to if it wasn’t for the weather begs belief. This is one of those shows where there is literally something for everyone. There were true lowriders, built Hondas, hot rods, restorations, and every manner in between. But time waits for no man, not even the out-of-shape camera jockey who is trying to beat the weather.
