If there is any such thing as a guaranteed excuse to drive into town and to bring the camera with me, it’s the opportunity for good food. If there are tasty vittles nearby, there is a solid chance that I’ll appear. I’m a base human…I’ll make no apologies for that. So when we heard that there would be a car show at a restaurant called “Rooster’s” in Bowling Green, my wife and I couldn’t pass it up. We didn’t expect the turnout to be as good as it was, however…normally, we’d expect a small handful of cars. By the time we ate our dinner, the parking lot was not only full, but they were stacking the parking lot for as many cars as they could fit in. It doesn’t matter if it’s five cars or five hundred, any chance the public gets to see neat rides in a positive setting is a good thing for our hobby. For a kid who is walking around checking out the sites, it doesn’t matter if it’s a old hot rod or a Lamborghini…if they see something that interests them, that will be the spark that could drive the kid to what they want to do in life.
