If you take anything away from our galleries from the first day of Power Tour at Beech Bend, it’s this: this is only just scratching the surface of what comes out. This is one day…this doesn’t cover those who come in at different legs of the route, nor does it cover any of the fun times that can be had along the way. This was just one day. Power Tour is that big, that grand in scale, yet for it’s size, you’d be amazed at how many people knew each other and were catching up as if this was a class reunion. That kind of camaraderie is really neat to see in person. Then again, when there are cars filling up the fields, it’s difficult to not feel like you’ve arrived at a home you didn’t know you had.

This year’s route covered almost 1,300 miles of the American Southeast, six states and will see over 6,000 vehicles registered and driving by the end of it…which, sadly, is tomorrow, where the fun ends at zMax Dragway in North Carolina. Next year is the 25th anniversary of Power Tour. If you have even the slightest inkling on going, you had better start planning now.
