Last summer, our reporter in the Great Plains, Scott Liggett, hit up several car shows in small towns across the middle of Nebraska. He is at it again already with an indoor show held just a couple of weeks ago.

We are familiar with the big indoor car shows during the winter months like the ones put on by World Of Wheels Autoramas, the Grand National Roadster Show in Los Angeles, and many others. They all have super high-end builds, giant trophies, and get a lot of press. But, what about smaller shows across the US? What we found out from our travels last summer, is there are a surprising amount of fantastic vehicles at these smaller shows as well. We were shocked.
We have several galleries worth of great cars from the 49th Tri-City Street Rods Auto Exhibition this time. The Tri-Cities in the name of this car club refers to three cities in Central Nebraska, Grand Island, Kearney, and Hastings. In truth, they are more towns than cities in size, but that doesn’t matter as much as these club members have been able to run a successful show for nearly 50 years. that is no small feat. Check out these galleries of way cool cars from small-town America.
