John Jackson from Not Stock Photography was back at Lone Star Throwdown 2026 and has already put out his video! This show was awesome, as always, and although I got there a bit early it sure filled out and was packed in the afternoon. This show is one of the best truck shows in the country, make no mistake, and for sure is the biggest and baddest show in Texas. They sell out of entries for this event each and every year, and we understand why when the weather is great and the trucks are everywhere.

Truck Show Season is officially back……….Its Lonestar Throwdown 2026
I know we get a big hotrod show in California in February with the GrandNational Roadster Show, but I like to chill out in Texas till LST comes around, and hang out with all my custom truck friends.
I always get asked why I choose to make this my first show of the year, and basically its my roots(even though its changed a ton).
When I was a kid I wanted a VW or a HotRod, but what I got was a 1982 Ford Ranger that I immediately cut the coil springs on, and performed the worst two tone paint job you’ve ever seen haha.
I showed up on Thursday to LST with Wayne,Guy, and Ryan to basically just hang out and enjoy the scenery(and cruise the corvair van a bit). It was pretty laid back, but busy for a Thursday so didn’t really get any footage.
Friday we rolled in around 9, and I wandered around seeing old friends, and checking out cool builds……..and eating way too much Jalapeno Cheese Sausage haha.
Saturday was crazy it started off pretty slow, and around 10:30 I thought I was going to take a lap, but noticed the long line of spectators funneling in, and the cruise line was already nose to tail. I got a couple laps in, but decided to hang out in the tent(and steal Tacos) from them Good Ol’Boys from Laredo the Estos Vatos Car Club.
I can’t talk about the show without mentioning how perfect the weather was it was in the 80’s every day, but Sunday when a cold front came in, and it was 60. If you’ve had the unfortunate memory of LST’25 it never got above 35 for the whole weekend so this weekend was a great change of weather.
Sunday we loaded up, and headed home I recently bought a trailer for the corvair van so I could haul it around to a few more shows this year, and the drifter pulled it without any issues(especially after figuring out it tows better with a corvair backwards on the trailer haha)
Hope You enjoy the Video
Congrats to Ed, and the Classic Car Studio for Winning the Amazing Best of Show Trophy this Year that looked like a Billet Oil Derrick by the guys at one ten machining.
Well hope to see a bunch of you at cars shows in 2026
