Small tire cars, standing on the bumper, and running way quicker than any muscle car did from the factory is what NHRA Stock Eliminator is about. We’re talking all the muscle cars you know and love, but in their most perfect version of the way it left the factory. The rules for Stock Eliminator are pretty strict, and we won’t bore you with details, but they have to have a stock configuration piston, stock lift cam, stock ratio valvetrain parts, etc. And yet a big block 1969 Camaro can run in the 9’s. Small block cars often run in the 10s. It’s nuts, and fun to watch.
So you can imagine that we dig the video below, since it is all Stock Eliminator from the NHRA World Finals in Pomona.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
Video Description:
I look forward to my So-Cal trip every November when I get to pull into the Pomona Fairplex. Actually, the very first drag race I can remember ever watching on TV when I was about 3-4 years old was Chief Auto Parts Winternationals circa 1987. Well let’s enjoy 25 minutes of Stock Eliminator action from the recent 2024 IN-N-Out Finals!
