The Aussies are coming! The Aussies are coming…again! Several cars are making the big trip across the pond for this year’s Drag Week, and this year the theme seems to be all about the Barra, the turbocharged Ford inline-six that is Australia’s answer to the Nissan RB, Toyota JZ and whatever else can take stupid levels of boost while pushing out power figures that will make even the supercharged V8 crowd sweat a bit. Dumped into many an Aussie-sourced Ford of recent years, the Barra behaves like the baddest blocks from Japan with the right amount of tweaking and fiddling. When a heavy-ass Ford Territory SUV can rip nines while looking like it just picked the kids up from school, that’s a bad mother, regardless of your opinions of six cylinders…or SUVs.

That’s not a Territory, or even a Ford. That is the Toyota Cresta that the duo from Mighty Car Mods built last year in the hopes of breaking into the ten-second club. That mark was achieved…and promptly, the goal was shifted to a quicker time. It still has the more-or-less stock look to it, but do not buy that at all. It’s coming east, wearing Hawaii plates, and is looking to start one hell of a fight with anyone who dares to line up against it. We hope you have enough to take it on…nobody wants to admit that a Camry-esque sedan just whipped their ass.
