Nostalgia A/Fuelers are going to be running this weekend at Rocky Mountain Raceway. The Summer Kick-Off and Funny Car Fever event promises to kick ass, and the Nostalgia A/Fuel Racing Association (NAFRA) is looking forward to it. This will be the third NHRA Heritage Series event of the season, and we’ll have coverage coming next week along with rumors, tidbits, and updates throughout the weekend thanks to our own Darr Hawthorne who will be on the scene!
Here’s what the NAFRA has going on!
The Nostalgia A/Fuel Racing Assoc. (NAFRA) looks towards its 3rd NHRA Heritage Series Event of 2015 at The Summer Kick-Off this coming weekend June, 5-6. With 8 teams scheduled to make the trek to Rocky Mountain Raceway this looks to be another stellar event for the Nostalgia A/Fuel teams.
The Nostalgia A/Fuel Association has also scheduled Three Non-Heritage Series Events for the summer race season. The 1st will be June 26-28 as Part of the 39th Annual Napa Auto Parts Oldies but Goodies event hosted by Woodburn Raceway. Woodburn is an incredible facility and we thank Jay Livingston and his team for making Nostalgia A/Fuel a featured Class at the event.
Next will be the 2nd Annual John Shoemaker Memorial Nostalgia A/Fuel Shootout July 24-26 as part of the NHRA Division 7 Event at Sonoma Raceway, the inaugural event last year was a hit with the track and fans which allowed for us to do it again thanks to Georgia Seipel from Sonoma Raceway and Mike Rice from NHRA’s Division 7.
The 3rd event will be September 18-19 as part of the Nitro Nationals Old Time Drags located at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park. This is the 3rd year for Nostalgia A/Fuel as part of the event in Tulsa OK and it has become a huge hit with the fans.
NAFRA invites fans to stop by the A/Fuel pit area at each of these events to meet with the Nostalgia A/Fuel Racing Association teams and drivers.
