Darr Hawthorne has been beating the drum like a mad man, trying to convince everyone that will listen that having a third qualifying session, rather than just two, for the nitro cars at the California Hot Rod Reunion is a good idea. He’s right, it is, and most of the racers and fans agreed. Unfortunately for those racers and fans, NHRA did not…UNTIL NOW! Woot woot, more nitro racing at the California Hot Rod Reunion! That’s great news for racers and fans alike. The racers are going to get more chances at getting in the show and getting their combos tuned up, and the fans get even more great racing action to watch.

It finally happened… The NHRA Museum, in it’s infinite wisdom, has granted a third qualifying session for the wildly popular Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Car classes for the 24th Annual California Hot Rod Reunion, Presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, on October 23-25, 2015 – an event that has become our NHRA Heritage Series World Finals.
