We’re on the ground at Beech Bend for the two-part show that is Holley’s Intergalactic Ford Fest and the NMRA’s World Finals race! We read the comments from the LS Fest coverage. We heard you loud and clear. “Where’s the Ford love?”, you asked. “You guys worship the LS”, you accused. You know what? No problem…you want Ford, you’re gonna get as much Ford as what shows up to the show. The weekend is on, BigFoot 1 is on the property standing tall in front of Holley’s trailer, the autocross action has been decent, the drifting crowd has shown up to party, and the drag racing is in full swing. At no point did I see even potentially empty staging lanes…just the way we like it!

We will be bringing you action from the show for the next few days, regardless of whether or not it’s a classic Mustang hanging the hoops high, or it’s the ride we take with Cleetus McFarland and Project Neighbor, his Shelby-swapped, stick-shifted Crown Vic Police Interceptor, or it’s one of my more typical off-the-wall selections, like the absolute knockout of a 1980 Mustang Cobra that I found in the show or the land-speed-record built four-banger Pinto Cruising Wagon.
