1000 is the new 500. That’s what we say at the dyno shop all the time. That’s because everyone wants to have 1000 horsepower now, and in the grand scheme of things making 1000 horsepower is pretty easy with the new technology. Well, here is a guy that took it to a different level. This Ford Lightning pickup’s 427 small block is said to make 1100 horsepower with the Turbo and nitrous and water meth injection. All with pump gas, which seems a little odd to us. I’d run it on pump gas with little boost for driving around town and then fill it full of good stuff or E85 when I wanted to give it some boost. I would totally keep the nitrous though, because a little goes a long way on a turbo combo and actually cools the intake charge a ton. Turbos love nitrous. And you should too.
