I have a really fast minibike. Well it was anyway, but it has been sitting for the past couple years and needs some new parts and a rebuild. When I say fast, I’m talking over 60 mph on the salt and that’s on a traditional no suspension old school minibike. In fact, it’s a Chinese knockoff Doodlebug but with a much larger Chinese knockoff of a Honda OHV engine. If you have never ridden something like this, you will come to appreciate the extended swingarms, rake, etc that are built into these little drag bruisers. Mine has all stock geometry and brakes which makes it suck out loud by most measures. My wife Daphne, who has ridden motorcycles her whole life, rode it one time and said it was the scariest awesome thing she’d ever ridden, and would NOT be riding it again.
The three mini bikes here are all kinds of different. One has a full tilt Jr. Dragster style Briggs Animal for power and looks as evil as can be. One is old school minibike greatness with an engine like mine and a chopper looking fork and rake. We dig it. The third is a purpose built, 5-speed, long swing arm miniature drag bike that looks fun and scary at the same time. Throw your leg over any of these three and we’re sure they will get your attention.
Which one is your favorite? Would you ride any of them more than across a parking lot? And even then would you do it at speed? From personal experience I can tell you that mine tries to climb up when it comes on the pipe and gets a bit wobbly and light up front. Imagine what some of these are like!
The first one is arguably our favorite if you are looking for a fun, fast, and cool cruiser minibike. This is what we would like ours to look like ultimately. The big fat slick out back, skinny up front, and the perfect color combo and stance. This is one bitchin minibike.

Sounds like a good plan to us. I can tell from the photos that it has an OHV single cylinder on it, probably a Chinese knockoff like ours, that has been custom painted. The rear disc brake looks like it might be larger than stock. The custom pipe sounds awesome we’re sure, and the custom air filter definitely ads airflow. We know, because we did the same mod on ours.
The second minibike is the Animal powered machine. It has all the brawn you expect from something that makes 20 horsepower, including a big rear axle and brake. Up front the fork is custom, as is the chassis, and the big front wheel looks sick with those drag bars hovering over the top of it. We especially love the custom tank and seat pan. This thing looks insane in bare metal but with some wicked paint it would be truly amazing.

The final minibike is the extended swing arm 5 speed that has a 150cc engine combo. The short wheels and tires on a minibike are always a challenge in making them have big speed, but we think this one could benefit from some gearing changes as we’re pretty sure the first two gears are near useless. The seller says it does 65 “no problem”, but we’re pretty sure this could be a 100 mph runner without much drama. We dig the way the bodywork looks slid back on the frame and hope it does as good a burnouts as our minibike does. Cause minibike tire smoke rules.
Custom built 150cc 5 speed with clutch pocket drag bike runs awesome and will do 65mph no problem. has new coil, CDI, clutch, rear tire, carburetor rebuilt and chain is fairly new. has disc brakes front and rear fire’s up first kick almost all the time. Not recommend for kid’s it is built for adult’s with how fast it goes.
What – as an ex-biker I wouldn’t even use these things as shoes! Over here in the UK we ride proper grown up bikes and give such pretty trinkets as these to our grandchildren to play with on a Sunday afternoon while Mom and Dad are having a bit of “quality time”.

I had a mini chopper that I won as a door prize. Worked the little two stroke over a bit and it would haul my large ass up to about 25. It was pretty fast for a weed eater engine at an elevation over a mile high.
Ive got one too. Also a stock geometry deal. Same motor as yours. Predator 6.5. Ive got an airfilter, pipe, and jetted the carb. It tops out around 40, but it leaves HARD. If you go full throttle from a standstill, it will flip right over if youre not careful. Next up is remove the governor, and a billet rod that has been sitting in my toolbox for way too long. Maybe a shot of nitrous too…..maybe. Need wheelie bars
First one, OK, looks like a cool pit bike.
The second one, I’d want to see what it looks like from the side to see if this is something that is operational or better uses as a garage wall decoration.
The third one, NO!!! It looks like you’d have to ride this thing in a weird, feet-forward, leaned-forward stance like those stick out your feet and touch your toes exercises, and the fabrication looks rather sketchy.
