At only $600 obo, this 1973 Plymouth Duster project is ready to give you lots of fun times building and racing it. The roller looks like it’s in great shape, and as a California car it should be pretty rust free. What’s great about this car is that while the 1973 isn’t quite as desirable as the earlier cars, it is nearly identical and can be changed if you want to. The front fenders and hood are the only cosmetic difference besides the tail lights, and that means that if you absolutely want yours to look like a ’71 for example you can.
I’ve often refer to the Duster as Mopar’s Nova because it looks so similar to the 1968 and up Nova. And that’s no dig because the truth is these are great cars to build into drag cars. One thing that is annoying though is the fact that when you go to most small tire races, it’s all Mustangs and Camaros and G-Bodies. We need someone to make this into a cool X275 Drag Radial car!
Hell, I don’t even care if you put a turbocharged GM LS engine in it! It works for the Mustang guys, do it for the Duster too!
Or back half this bad boy and put a blown hemi in it and have one of the coolest Pro Street cars ever. On the ground these are mean!
Get this thing and make it cool.
