People can say what they want about being tired of seeing Fox Body and SN95 Mustangs all over the place racing, but the truth is they not only work incredibly well with bolt-on suspension parts, regardless of power level, but they are also DIRT CHEAP to buy. I mean who wants to cut up a super clean street car that they had to spend real money on? We want something that leaves the most money for building power and putting it to the ground right? Right! And living here in SoCal we don’t have any problem finding rust free cars that are 11-20 years old like some of you out there. And the truth is some of these cars are still a screaming deal for you guys even if you had to pay $1000 to ship it out to you. Dealing with rust could cost you that much or more in time and labor anyway.
And why are the Fox and SN95 Mustangs so good as drag cars? Good suspension design that is super easy to bolt on new stuff that really hooks, light weight ( You can get either body style down under 3000 without going crazy.), and virtually any engine and trans combo will bolt into one. Combine that with an aftermarket support that rivals parts for small block Chevrolet’s and you can build an 8 second car from catalog parts. Maybe even a 7 second car!
So for all you Fox and SN95 Mustang guys out there, here are a couple you should consider. For those haters out there, take a look at why guys are scooping them up and making them fast. It’s almost too easy!
