(Photos by Wes Allison) The rain delays made it take a few extra days to get cars out on the salt, but they did yesterday and now it is time for racing to start Tuesday. We’ll start sharing those photos tomorrow, but today we’ve got all kinds of great stuff from the pits and on the salt, with hot rods, race cars, and more. As usual, Wes was on hand to shoot photos, so here is a taste of what you are going to see rocketing down the course starting Tuesday! This year Bonneville’s salt conditions are going to be the talk of the town because the salt is still under water. They are expecting it to dry out Sunday and Monday with racing starting on Tuesday and we’ll have photos to share as soon as the racing starts! Last year the courses were excellent, and then it rained big on Friday and Saturday and flooded the salt. When it dried they only had a couple of courses, but the conditions were great so we are hoping for more of the same this year! Stay tuned and find out.

As we said, we’ll have tons of them coming throughout the week as we have Wes Allison on-site to shoot everything he can point a camera at. We’re going to make sure you have all the photos you could want and will be bringing you at least one gallery of Bonneville photos per day.
