Door Wars, a Footbrake Experience, promises to be one hell of a drag race coming out of the famed Maple Grove Raceway. This is a cool event, featuring nothing but door cars and nothing but footbrake racing. No trans brakes baby, just guys swapping feet and trying to leave as close to .000 as possible. To many this is the purest kind of bracket racing. We can’t argue with that as this is the racing that tests every bracket racing skill you’ve got. Growing up around Stock Eliminator racing meant that electronics of any kind were not allowed. No trans brake, no throttle stop, no nothing. That’s why I’m still a bigger fan of door cars than I am of dragsters. This is real drag racing and it sure is fun to watch.
