Drag racing donks makes almost no sense. Or at least it didn’t make sense to me before. Now, I can respect it because it takes a lot of boost control or nitrous programming to make one of these cars on big inch rims hook and go down the track. But if we’re going to talk about tires, there is one thing to note about these 26, 28, and 30 inch tires. Remember, the taller a tire is the bigger the contact patch for a given width. In fact, it is often easier to increase contact patch with tire height rather than through tire width increases. So in fact these super tall tires, even at ridiculously short aspect ratios, have more rubber on the ground than a similarly sized 18 inch tire. But you don’t care about that. What you care about is seeing these big bastards, on giant wheels, going fast. This is the video for you.
